I went to my family reunion over the Holidays and I had some family members that haven't seen me for a minute. Like some years. Like before I bleached my skin . Most of em were very happy to see me in all, but in the back of my mind I just kept thinking " what could they be saying about my skin color". No one said anything harsh or anything, but I just could not help but feel a little ashamed walking around thinking someone is eyeballing me lol. I did have one aunt of mine come and whispered in my ears "I want to know what you use on your skin so I can get me some", but she was mainly talking about evening out her blotched skin instead of bleaching.
Do you all feel ashamed of long lost family seeing your new skin color?

YO I havent personally had to deal with much of this yet. But I do not plan to just go on a whim and annouce to the world that I bleach my skin. Its not their fault they are ignorant to how the world really is(or chose to act like they dont know), and/or whats really desired so why even open up a can of worms? Its just an honest fact that lighter skin is more disired because it symbolizes health,Bright, glowing, and an all around Amercian standard of beauty. Dark is usually something on the lines of unhealthy, dark, dying, dead, burnt. Not saying that lighter skin ppl are better, just saying that lighter skin is simpy more desired. you have the chose what fits u best. just like the pale white girl who wants that nice toasted almond color. Maybe in Africa darkness is beauty, not here.(but dont they bleach the H*LL outta their skin there too?) In our society, you are only allowed to be dark skinned if.... you arent really dark skinned, but brown skined (like Gabrielle Union) thats the media way of saying "beautiful dark skinned women. And to be honest, she looking very light skinned compared to that movie she had at 13. and check this shot out...

anyway... I just plan to say that "I've been detoxing my body by taking diffrent liquids and pills". Not sure which one made me lighter but i need to find out so I can keep taking it. I like my new color,---dont you?". And leave it at that! THERE BOOOYAAAHHHHH!!!! lol...hehehehhe...

I would feel a little if I got white. Thats why I keep my self around the butter scotch color with mb . I only use it once, 3 times a week. Thats enough for me to be happy with my complexion. Plus I think butter scotch is a cute color. This resembles Beyonce's complexion here

Nope i don't really feel ashamed, becaus even when i was 10 years old some aunties were asking what are you using my skin has always been bright looking as in healthy but there is a big skin colour change, but i just ignore whatever anyone says most people just think i was born with very light skin anyways, and others ask because they are bleaching themselves. especially the african community they even discuss with each other which is the next good cream to buy.
My close friend she is mixed too and has lily white skin everytime she go salon they never fail to ask her 'which cream are you using you are so liight', the answer is always the same, my mother's white!.
My skintone now is like a mix of beyonce's and Tahiry's complexions, butterscotch creamy colour, its nice and i get compliments. But i now wish i was born darkskinned... Gabrielle Union is a very beautiful stunning woman. Guys in England are a little bit colourstruck but they still love and will pick a darkskinned beauty over a lightskinned one anyday. And it doesn't help the situation when some lightskinned girls treat black guys like crap, cos they think they're better. If i was born dark i would not lighten at all i would stick wo middle fingers up to society! Its only when you are light you need you body to look even all over not like a patchwork quilt. lol

^^ So they figure just because your friend is very light that she's using some sort of bleaching cream?? Wow. I guess every mixed or black person with high yellow skin is bleaching. I have a sister that have white skin and she never used a bleaching cream in her life.

IM SO EXCITED... I relly think im going to get my MB this week!!!! I can;t wait to use it. I plan to use it 4 days a week on my body and 3 days a week on my face. Thicker on the knees & elbows. I want to put sa layer on my lips to pinken them 4 times a week too- i still don know what to do about my scalp tho. ugh...what do i do???? i did order some glutithoine pills 250mg from another site... i hope that helps. |
